Symphony Group:  One of Europe’s leading suppliers of quality fitted kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture.

Symphony have been users of Dexion racking systems for many years and knew the additional benefits of utilizing Dexion storage systems from previous installations. The planning of maximum floor space utilization (and by using all available height) created maximum additional storage space and also achieved a safe, fast ‘order picking rate’ at their Rotherham manufacturing facility.

As a result of significant investment in the Rotherham site the need for more ‘finished goods’ storage capacity was obvious. After several site surveys, Les Flack, Managing Director Multistore Storage Systems Ltd, working closely with Nikolas Dobbs (Project Manager) agreed a multi tier storage system would solve Symphony’s storage problems. Symphony were attracted to work with us due to the previous high level of service they had received from Multistore at the quotation stage and on other projects already completed.

As it was a very large contract Symphony required it to be manufactured and delivered in stages, with the first phase required within a short time frame, which we were able to meet. Symphony’s warehouse was in continual use throughout the duration of the job and so we had to work with and around them to make sure that there was as little disruption as possible. Due to the size and length of the job, site visits by Multistore management ensured that the job continued to run smoothly and our installation team completed this project on time, and also that Symphony were happy with everything that was happening on a daily basis.

Our managing director worked very closely with Nikolas Dobbs (project site manager) to provide the best solution for the job, which we were able to complete on time and ahead of schedule. Our professional approach to the job impressed Nikolas, particularly the professional way in which Multistore handled the project from design and planning right through to the overall completion and handover on site.
